1. Repost - Whether you are reposting your own content for a #throwbackthursday, or want to spread the love by promoting another artist whose work speaks to you, this free app makes it simple to repost on Instagram without messing around with screenshots, and it even copies the original caption so you can edit it before reposting.

2. Google Suite - We recommend the use of Google Suite (Drive, Doc, Sheets & more. It's powerful, free, stores your docs in the cloud, and offers 15 GB of storage free to anyone with a Google account. Each app is explained in brief below.
  • Google Drive - Free (up to 15 GB, more for a fee), online cloud storage.

  • Google Docs - Online, cloud based document editing solution.

3. Layout - Present up to nine images as one, in a variety of adjustable layouts. With less frills than competing apps, this official Instagram collage tool makes short work of bulk sharing images in one go. It’s free, reliable, and lacks the distraction of advertisements. For even more punch in a single post, try occasionally using Layout in conjunction with Instagram’s newer Multiple photo’s option; making it possible to share a total of up to 99 different images in one go.

4. Boomerang - Turn everyday moments into high-quality mini videos that play forward and backward indefinitely - unlike a gif which merely loops. Shoot from portrait or landscape with a single button press and the app automatically takes a burst of photos, then stitches them together for sharing fun on Instagram.

5. Textgram - With a 200 max character limit, this app is a great tool for writers. Bring your prose to life with a stylish font selection enabling the creation of beautiful text over any image from your phone. Finished images can then be shared over instant messaging applications or on social networks.

5. Instaquote - With a collection of inspirational backgrounds and modern fonts this popular text over image app is designed specifically with quoting in mind & offers a convenient byline feature. It’s also a great tool for turning any wise words of your own into striking art for the masses.

Useful Websites for Online Art Promotion
  • eBay - Needing little introduction, the online auction behemoth has expanded into more typical retail through their Buy It Now and other non-auction services.
  • Paypal - Every artist needs to get paid.
  • etsy - The premiere online marketplace for crafters and artisans to sell their original works. If you produce physical art, Etsy may be just the place for you.
  • witchsy - Founded as a home for pagan products that didn't have a home on Etsy, Witchsy has since expanded to serve a broader base of artists whose work may not fit conveniently within Etsy's guidelines.
  • Get Emoji - Whether you love using emojis or only use them for occasional emphasis, there's far more available emojis than what your phone's keyboard offers, and if you're using a PC, you don't want to have to try remembering keyboard shortcuts and Unicode hex codes. Get Emoji offers easy, cut and paste access to an enormous library of emoji.
  • Not Quite Dead - For writers, this is a great (if a bit macabre) resource that gives basic medical information for common injuries that might befall your characters. This is just one of several resources at Bryn Donovan's blog.
  • More coming soon...
